Thank You Grandma and Aunt Rachel
Thank you Grandma and Aunt Rachel!!! We had a ball opening the four boxes of clothes that you sent. We had a little fashion show. Cayleigh enjoyed being the supermodel and needed no prompting to strike poses. It has been such a blessing for Cayleigh to have an Aunt who is only two years older than herself.

The Favorite Dress
Both the girls love to wear dresses and play dress up. This pink dress was sent to us by my Mom after my baby sister grew out of it. Since my baby sister is only two years older than my oldest daughter, it has worked out really well to get her hand-me-downs. We have so much fun going through the boxes they send!
This pink dress was one of Cayleigh's favorite dresses to wear. At first, we saved it for special occasions, then the lace at the bottom became torn, and there was a small hole on the back of the dress. Cayleigh continued to wear the dress until little sister decided that she wanted to wear it also. Keira loved it too. Both girls enjoyed dancing and swirling the skirt. They wore it fresh out of the dryer many times because I had to pry it off of them in order to clean it. They played in it, ate with it on, and also slept in this dress. We finally had to throw it away today. Keira was undressing herself for the bath and the fabric was so worn that it tore along the bodice seam. We were very sad to see it go.

Favorite Blankie
My girls each have a favorite blankie. It just so happens that it is the same blanket. Cayleigh was given two of this pink blanket, and it quickly became my favorite, and later her favorite as well. It was nice when she was little because she didn't realize that there were two of them. It was much easier at bedtime to give her the blanket because if we didn't know where it was, we would just grab the other one and she was happy. Eventually she figured out there were two and had to have them both :( When Keira came along, Cayleigh graciously offered her duplicate blankie to her sister. So sweet! These blankets go with us many places and the girls have to have them for bedtime.
I was at my friend's house the other day, and her daughter also has the same blanket. She is not as fond of her blanket as my girls are and so hers still looks new. I could not believe the difference in her blanket compared to our blankets. These blankets are so loved, that they are discolored and tattering on the edges. I don't know what we will do if they ever get lost or fall apart! I do hope that my girls have fond memories of their favorite blankie as I do of mine.
