Skiing
We took the girls skiing last Saturday and had a great day. The girls enjoyed themselves and the weather was great. They are improving their skills and we enjoy the activity together as a family. Oldest daughter, Rosebud, enjoys skiing so much that she asks to ride the lift again even before we have finished our run. Youngest daughter, Pixie, enjoys it too, but gets worn out a bit faster.

Welcome Poky Little Puppy!
My dear friend, the Mama of the House, had her baby this morning. They estimated the due date sometime between January 15th, and the 31st. However, they had to wait until February 8th to meet their sweet little one. I talked to my sister and she came up with a nickname of Poky Little Puppy. Here are some photos that I took this afternoon, he was less than twelve hours old. He is adorable! Congratulations!

Photo Favorites
I wanted to share a few more of my photos from Jonathan and Meg's wedding. I was a little busy and distracted, so I didn't get many, but I think I got a few shots that will be different than those of their photographer.
Oh, the many duties of the maid of honor!
Loved the boquet, there's just nothing more romantic than red roses
I love this shot of them listening to a toast by Meg's sister and father.
David presented a humorous slide show enjoyed by all, except maybe Jonathan who had to endure some ribbing over his most recent Christmas wish lists. I think the parents of the groom would agree that it was worthwhile entertainment!

Chicago
I wanted to post a few photos from our trip to Chicago. We took the girls to Shedd Aquarium right on the lake. It was excellent. The girls enjoyed seeing all the exhibits, but probably liked the penguins, and the dolphin show most of all.
We also enjoyed a free night at the Chicago Art Museum courtesy of Target. Thanks Target!
I especially enjoyed seeing some original impressionist paintings, the girls were thrilled with the miniature room displays.

We took a quick walk through Chicago's Millenium Park to see Cloud Gate aka The Bean. It is an amazing sculpture that reflects the incredible Chicago skyline. We did all of this in one day, plus a trip to the airport to pick up some family!
Thanks to our dear friend in Chicago who provided us with an inviting place to stay and lots of great tourist tips. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you.
