Relaxing

The other day, I was cleaning up the dinner dishes and saw this outside my window. Auntie Fiona was reading to the girls outside because it was cooler than inside the house after a warm day. Natalie, of course, could not sit still, but Keira and Cayleigh were really enjoying the book. (I think their Auntie enjoyed the book just as much as they did.)

Summer Fun

Cinemark is offering some kid friendly movies for $1 per ticket every Tuesday at 10 am. I decided that it would be an affordable adventure for some summer fun. I couldn't resist stopping at McDonald's after the movie to treat the girls. Natalie enjoyed her first cheeseburger, and hopefully the girls will remember these days fondly. I remember the thrill of a happy meal and special toy very well....thanks Mom and Dad!

New Bike

Cayleigh and Keira had both outgrown their bikes, so we bought Cayleigh a new one as an early birthday present. Sorry, Keira. You get another hand-me-down from your big sister. I know just what that is like.

Teva Mountain Games

We spent our weekend in Vail, Colorado to see the Teva Mountain Games. We have been doing this for the last 5 or 6 years. Every year we take a bike ride along the river, past the golf course from East Vail to West Vail. It can be tricky with three children, but it is so beautiful. This was the first year that Cayleigh was able to bike on her own. Keira was on a third-wheel bike, and Natalie was in the bike trailer.

Happy Birthday, Natalie!

We celebrated Natalie's birthday on Tuesday, February 9. It is hard to believe that she is one year old! I love this photo of her talking on the phone to her Daddy. Drew had called her from the other room while we were getting ready to have birthday cake. She loves talking on the phone. She will giggle, squeal, and say, "hi" to her Daddy when he calls.

Natalie is very close to walking. She has taken a few steps and prefers to stand and play while holding on to things. She really enjoys playing with her sisters. Natalie still enjoys giving kisses. When you say, "night-night" to her, she will start smacking her lips together to give her goodnight kisses to everyone. So cute! We are enjoying her so much.

We had a free day of skiing at SolVista on our Colorado Gems card, so we took advantage of that on January 23. We went with a great group of friends, who helped us with our kids. Drew and I even got to board together a little bit! The girls had such a fun day. Even Natalie enjoyed all the hustle and bustle of the lodge.

11 Months

Natalie is eleven months old, and will soon be celebrating her birthday! We are enjoying her more every day. She has learned to get down the stairs safely, so now she can get anywhere in the house. We have to be very careful to watch her so she does not get into too much trouble (like playing in the toilet or putting small toys in her mouth!) She has learned a few words, ma-ma, da-da, hi and more.

I especially enjoy that Natalie has learned to give kisses. She smacks her lips together and expects you to kiss her. When Drew comes home from work she will smile really big and then start smacking her lips together until he kisses her. So Adorable! Natalie really loves the phone, and she will talk a little bit to her Daddy when he calls. She will put just about anything that remotely resembles a phone up to her ear and say, "hi."

Natalie also loves to play with the dishes while I am loading the dishwasher. She enjoys sitting and looking at the pictures in a book. She is still very attached to her favorite blankie that a friend made. She has to have it when falling asleep. Her sisters absolutely adore her, and so do her parents!
