Happy Birthday

I wanted to wish my dear friend, Darcy, a happy birthday. We have been friends since 9th grade. Unfortunately, we haven't seen each other in many years because she lives in Maryland. Here are a few photos that I dug out of my archives. I hope you had a wonderful and special birthday this year!

Photo Favorites

I wanted to share a few more of my photos from Jonathan and Meg's wedding. I was a little busy and distracted, so I didn't get many, but I think I got a few shots that will be different than those of their photographer.

Oh, the many duties of the maid of honor!

Loved the boquet, there's just nothing more romantic than red roses
I love this shot of them listening to a toast by Meg's sister and father.

David presented a humorous slide show enjoyed by all, except maybe Jonathan who had to endure some ribbing over his most recent Christmas wish lists. I think the parents of the groom would agree that it was worthwhile entertainment!

Chicago

I wanted to post a few photos from our trip to Chicago. We took the girls to Shedd Aquarium right on the lake. It was excellent. The girls enjoyed seeing all the exhibits, but probably liked the penguins, and the dolphin show most of all.

We also enjoyed a free night at the Chicago Art Museum courtesy of Target. Thanks Target!
I especially enjoyed seeing some original impressionist paintings, the girls were thrilled with the miniature room displays.
We took a quick walk through Chicago's Millenium Park to see Cloud Gate aka The Bean. It is an amazing sculpture that reflects the incredible Chicago skyline. We did all of this in one day, plus a trip to the airport to pick up some family!
Thanks to our dear friend in Chicago who provided us with an inviting place to stay and lots of great tourist tips. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you.

Gingerbread House

For the last several years we have gone to our friend's bakery to decorate a gingerbread house. It is a fun tradition, and the bakery houses are much nicer than anything that I could make at home.

Growing Up

Oldest daughter lost her first tooth on November 2! We were traveling home and she was hungry, so I gave her the only food that I had with me, an apple, of course. A few minutes later I had to pull over because she was a bit scared by the bloody tooth that popped out of her mouth. I was not prepared for this. None of her friends have lost teeth yet, and she is the youngest among them. Can't she just stay little a while longer?!!! Since I am so late in posting this, she has already lost tooth number two. It was so loose that it actually fell out without her knowing it, and we have not been able to find the tooth.

Happy New Year!

We had a very busy holiday season this year. Drew's brother got married in Chicago, and then we spent Christmas with the family in southern Illinois. We were so glad to welcome Meg into our family. Here are a few photos from the wedding. The girls were so excited to get dressed up for Jonathan and Meg's wedding, and my hubby looked very handsome in his tux! I'll post more photos from Christmas when I get a chance.

We hope that you all had a blessed holiday with friends and family, and we wish you His blessings in the New Year.

More Wedding Photo Favorites

I thought I would post a few more of my favorite photos from Jeni and David's wedding. I even printed photos on their DVD. I gave them a DVD of all of their images, plus a DVD slideshow with an overview of their wedding day. It was so much fun!
