Home Improvement

We found a leak in the ceiling and when Drew investigated, he decided that it was time to replace the roof. So, Mr. Handyman got right to work. Drew is a fabulous handyman, but the roof is a big job, and it is essential to have a roof on your house. Drew was able to get some help to remove the three layers of shingles that were on the house. Can you believe that there was approximately seven tons of shingles on the roof?!! We managed to get the bottom layer of tar paper on the roof before the first heavy rain fell. I say "We" because Drew actually had me helping him up on the roof while a babysitter took care of our children for several hours. Drew also had me help him for several hours yesterday while our children played at a friends house-Thank you my friend! We managed to get most of the upper layer of the roof shingled before the lightning chased us from our work. Thankfully, the tar paper is working fairly well at keeping the rain out of our house. Drew still has a lot of work to do since he has to replace some of the siding along the roof where it was beginning to rot. I love that Drew is able to do all of this work on our house and save us of money. However,I do feel badly that he has to work so hard. He has been getting up at 6 am to take advantage of the daylight hours, and he even went to work from 9pm-12am yesterday to make up for some hours that he missed. He never complains about the work either. Thank you Mr. Handyman.

What a good husband! And what a good wife for helping him out. I know you wanted to lose about 10 pounds for the beach and doing that kind of work will make it happen! :)
